Chapter 10; Promise revealed
Appearance of another angel for the third time is to demonstrate the way to avoid the tribulation and the plagues of the end that are written in Chapters 8 and 9. This is to show the truth again more specifically that he had the seal of the living God in Chapter 7.
Being clothed with a cloud indicates the Last Work that will be fulfilled perfectly according to God’s permission. The rainbow upon his head means that the Word of the promise will be fulfilled perfectly, and his face like the sun represents the perfect Work of the light. His feet like pillars of fire signifies the victorious Work. (1)
He had in his hand a little book which was open, and he placed his right foot on the sea and his left on the land; it indicates the victorious Work over the world. (2)
When he cried out with a loud voice as a lion roars, the seven peals of thunder uttered their voices; it represents the days of wrath when the Last Work strongly take place awakening the world. (3)
The reason that a voice told John not to write what the seven peals of thunder had spoken is because the plagues in the days of wrath will not be related to the last servants. For the plagues are the wrath to punish over the evil world, the last servants must believe in that it will be done as the Word of the living God and must testify that the mystery of God will be finished as He preached to His servants the prophets. (4~7)
John who was seeing the revelation was told to eat the little book, because the last servants must be completely armed with the truth of the plumb line, that is the mystery of the perfect revelation, without adding or concealing anything of it. (8~9)
The little book was sweet as honey in the mouth but was made bitter in the stomach, for there is the bitter cup of the cross on the way to eat the truth of the plumb line of Judgement and fight for it.
“You must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings”; it indicates the responsibility to preach the truth of the plumb line so that it could be heard worldwide.
For God will judge after making His Word to be known clearly. (10~11)
