Praise the LORD!

The interpretation of Revelation, which we (New Things Church of the LORD) are preaching, is NOT AT ALL from a man’s own idea or analysis. But it is the words of the Lord spoken three times on March 19, 1958 through the mouth of south Korean pastor Boanerge Lee (Roe Ja Lee in Korean). God commanded to write down those words and then we have preached this truth so far.

Chapter 4; The Scene of Heavenly Church

After the Lord gave the letter, the guideline of faith for the Lampstand Churches, He enlightened John’s spiritual eyes and said like the sound of a trumpet “I will show you what must take place after these things.” Until then John, the apostle, had been preaching what had to take place before (ref. 1 John 1:1~2). But what must take place at the end of Christianity was revealed to the beloved disciple as the Gospel which saints at the end should read, hear, and heed. It should be known that the redemption from sin belongs to the blood of the cross that was fulfilled, and this prophetic Word must be heeded to become the remnant out of the plagues in the tribulation. (1)

John was greatly in the Spirit again and the Spirit made him see the thrones in heaven clearly. (2)

The appearance of God on the Throne had the glory like the color of a green jasper and a red sardius, and there was a rainbow shining like a green emerald. Here is the great meaning of the first revelation of what must take place afterwards. God’s Work that must take place includes the gracious work of life like green color and the wrathful Judgement like red color and also the unchangeable covenant of life like a rainbow. Therefore, the revelation uses the colors to describe the truth of what must take place. (3)

Around the Throne, twenty-four elders upon the twenty-four thrones were shown. White garments represent the atonement, and golden crowns represent rewards. The point is that the Will of God is done on the earth as it is in heaven. When it is done in heaven, first it passes through the elders – the institution to approve things to be done by all prayers of the saints (ref. Rev. 5:8~10). The sovereignty of the saints is to receive the kingship according to their deeds. (4)

Flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder which proceeded from the Throne represent the situation in the tribulation, and Seven Spirits before the Throne whose Work is shown as lamps signify the perfect Work of the end. (5)

There was a sea as clear as crystal before the Throne. This means, compared with Genesis 1:7, there surely is a boundary of this sea. Four living creatures in the center and around the Throne with full of eyes in front and behind mean that they have insight as creatures under God’s control. Through the four living creatures God moves all creations and looks into all circumstances. (6)

The appearances of four living creatures - a lion, a calf, a man, and an eagle - signify the control over all moving creations. A lion, a calf, a man, and an eagle represent beasts, livestock, the lord of creations, and birds respectively, and it means they control the activity of all creations (ref. Ezek. 1:5~).

Six wings on each of the four creatures mean that their power is under God’s control. The four living creatures are full of eyes around and within; it indicates the insight into works of both God and man. Their singing about God’s Alpha and Omega signifies the responsibility on what is carried out under God’s administration and determination. (7~8)

Whenever the four living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to God, together the twenty-four elders fall down before God and worship Him laying their crowns before the Throne. It means that the crowns of all men given from God come through His grace. To give thanks to this fearful and wonderful truth, they sing “for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” The meaning of this song is that all things are given to man, in the purpose to give him the crown of the eternal kingship. If man uses all things appropriately according to the Lord’s Will, the crown will be given, but otherwise it will be sin. (9~11)
